Tampa criminal court case results
If I have a warrant in Florida?
- facts: The client had a warrant for his arrest in Tampa for Burglary of a Dwelling and Grand Theft. They were old charges that presented difficult proof problems for the State Attorney. When we initially spoke to the client he felt that the warrant was a minor problem in that never really affected his life (he was able to travel within the States with the warrant).
- defense: Many people get away with traveling despite the fact that they have an active warrant for their arrest. We do not recommend that anyone delay resolving an outstanding warrant. You may avoid arrest for a period of time, but eventually the warrant will catch up to you.
- results: Our client was arrested after going through security at the Miami Airport. He was sitting down on the plane when Marshalls approached him and took him into custody. Shortly after contacting us we set the case for hearing in front of the Court.
